This item is used to keep the carpal pad covered when temperatures reach extreme cold of up to -35° F. At this temperature, tiny sweat droplets can freeze the dog’s hair to the pad and pull when the dog’s foot is placed. This condition occurs if the dog is working hard enough to sweat at -35°F or colder.
